“If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go there unwarned and unprayed for.” – Charles Spurgeon

Truth is indeed divisive for it cannot walk the same path as a lie.

Had we focused and done the valuable things that are durable, yea, last forever and not on the things that pass away we would have laid up far more treasures in Heaven and the transient values may have passed away at a slower rate. Instead, we rallied around the temporary losing eternal rewards and hastened the demise of the temporary.
Would that not be called foolishness?

”When the poor build the Church God builds the Church. When the rich build the Church man builds the Church.” – John Wesley
When you quit building massive buildings and go the ones no one else wants you will have finally figured out the Gospel and Calvary’s love.

For years I was in the Lord’s Reserves and now He has blessed me to be on Active Duty and on the front lines before the last battle for the Church before He blows that Rapture trump. I am unworthy, but I am grateful. May I do Him proud!

Prov 16:21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning. KJV
This does not mean you sugar coat the Word, but rather choose words or actions that do not offend in such a way no one wants to listen. Too many times Christians are rude and crude not prudent. Ranting and raving, name calling and sounding like you are glad people are going to Hell is not a good delivery method for a herald of the King that is calling people to Him to be reconciled.
An impassioned plea from a heart grieved with the prospect of people missing the grace of God is one thing but brow beating screaming insults do not convey the message Christ came to give and gave us to give to the World. Taking a stand for truth is being bold. Being obnoxious is not.

While the letter of the law kills a false concept of grace does not fill it with the Spirit of life but rather only does cosmetology on a corpse.

Much ado about nothing is made about church attire. God is more concerned about the adornment of your heart than your body.
I don’t care if they come barefoot and in bib overalls. Suits are for business men and they do not even wear them anymore. I tell people that I and the local law enforcement frown on coming to church nekkid but other than that there is no fancy dress code. Decent is all that is required.
I want poor people to feel they can come even if all they have are patched blue jeans and a T-shirt. James warns us about showing preference to those who can afford gaudy stuff over the poor man. I have preached just as good a sermon in jeans and boots, maybe better, as I have in the zoot suit uniform.
It is time we put nonsense away and get down to winning souls and edifying saints. God will dress the person’s body as He tailors their heart and soul.

In Church and State you can legislate morality, but not holiness.
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness . KJV
