Who Are The Real Enemies?

July 13, 2010

“At St. Quentin Canal was a cemetery containing the graves of 37,000 German soliders killed during the war. A wounded French soldier was placed in charge of the upkeep of the cemetery.

One day as he was hoeing around the black crosses, he was asked about the strange predicament in which he had been placed; which was caring for the graves of his enemies. He was silent for a minute and then said, “These are not my enemies, they never were. They are the innocents of war. The real enemies never approached the front line.” – Author Unknown- *

We will never see our true enemies on the front lines either for our war is spiritual so they are spiritual, but praise God so are our weapons. Let’s fight in holiness and the rest is up to Him!

2 Cor 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; KJV

Eph 6:11-13

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. KJV
