The mega-churches get all the glory and fame but look at the populations of the area around them. None can say they even have 10% of the population and unlikely even 10% of the believers. That means more people are being ministered to by the smaller churches and the not so rich and famous preachers. In that light, the megas aren’t all that wonderful after all. Big does not mean Blessed nor does Rich equal Righteousness. Remember Laodicea? In Scripture, God usually used the little guy (Nathan and Amos)to correct the big guy (David and Amaziah). Paul says that God has chosen the weak, base and foolish and that their would be few that are noble or wise after the estimation of this world. So feeling small, weak, base and foolish? Rejoice! You are in the majority and the one God said He uses. What can be bigger and better than that?

Too much milk and not enough discernment is what is killing the Western Church.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. KJV

It is indeed an evening, but there is nothing hallowed about it at least in the primary use of the word which means sanctified or consecrated. We pray “hallowed be Thy name.”
In a sense the night is consecrated to evil or the other kingdo…m that will be replaced by the kingdom we are praying will soon come. It is sanctified or set apart to delve into the occult and the darkness of sin and death.
Should Christians participate? The early Christians would not fast on the same day as the pagans so as not to be identified with them though the practice of fasting is not evil and even enjoined in Scripture. They did not give those days different names and then meet at the church. They did not fast to avoid any misunderstanding, confusion or perceived collusion.
We would do well to follow their example. Their success rate in winning the world was far better than what we have.
2 Cor 6:14-18
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. KJV

Why are we shocked when we see reports of evil in the news? It is just prophecy being fulfilled that should give us hope that Christ’s return is ever nearer.
2 Tim 3:12-13
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. KJV

Sometimes we bring our broken toys to our heavenly Father and beg Him to fix them, especially our favorites. Instead He throws them away and we cry our hearts out not knowing He threw them away because of several reasons. They may have been toys He did not give us but rather something we found in the World. They were toys we were really too old to be playing with anyway. They were toys that could, would and maybe had already hurt us. Regardless of the reason that He throws them away the purpose is to give us something better from His heart of love that will give us far more joy then those things He tosses into the trash. He means to replace those tears of despair with tears of joy if we are willing to trust and part with the old to receive the new. Indeed, Father knows best!

It matters not how weak you are, but rather how wise you are. Remember Goliath and Jericho?
Prov 21:22 A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of the confidence thereof. KJV

God did not replace the local physical church with the digital virtual church. If you are physically able you should go to a 3D church and meet with a real pastor and congregation face to face. When you have a problem the digital church cannot come and cry with you or put an arm around you.
