I am being ‘umble when I say this, but I think I could be a better POTUS or VPOTUS then any who have run for the office this year. I am more representative of the people.
I was raised by a widowed mother in a small town, but have lived and worked in cities. I have lived in the North and the South. I have been a dark blue, light blue and white collar worker. My wife and I raised our kids, not nannies. I have been unemployed and employed in a variety of career fields. I have been in economic levels from poverty to upper middle class. I have been bullied and abused.
I graduated 55/57 of my high school Academic class, but in the top ten from college barely missing Manga Cum Laude because a professor lost my final exam and would not allow me to retake it. I have been discriminated against because of my faith, weight and age.
I am retired military and understand threats to our liberty far better than most politicians. I served in Europe and Asia. I have been an agnostic, Left wing hippie Democrat and now a Right wing Republican preacher.
I cannot be bought as I only have one agenda and that is to do right for this country and to glorify God as much as I can. I was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I have had to earn a living. I have no one’s coattails to ride on and I am a Maverick that does not always toe the party line. I only see one race, the human race and believe all lives matter.
I have performed a Quinceanera ceremony. A Jewish man at a funeral that I officiated told me afterward that I reminded him of a Rabbi. I can sing some Rap but grew up on old country and rock and roll. I sing old hymns and CCM.
I would pick George Strait as my VP because he is a real cowboy, singer and successful business man that most people would like. I would choose COL Allen West as my Secretary of Defense, Alan Keyes as Secretary of State and Ben Carson as Secretary of the VA. I have a few years to pick the others so I will wait until a closer date to election to be sure I have the best people selected. I freely admit that I am not perfect and open to suggestions. However, if you did not vote, I will listen to voters first.
There might be other things to add, but this seems to me to be a better resume than those we have running. I could be wrong, but I have already had some folks who agree. Just sayin’.
Well, there it is, See 2020 with a Shultz-Strait ticket.

“The war between the sexes is the only one in which both sides regularly sleep with the enemy.”
― Quentin Crisp,
A French soldier named Chauvin received a very small pension from Napoleon. He was overly appreciative and bragged on Napoleon every chance he got to the point of nausea for many people. It became a cliche for making much ado about nothing and when a person did such they were called a Chauvinist. I also have read where he was wounded seventeen times and so such patriotism would also be derided, but was probably the reason for the small pension and his exuberant praise of Napoleon.
In the 60’s with the advent of Women’s Lib, Gloria Steinem et al, someone coined the phrase Male Chauvinist Pig and it was used as an insult against all men, but especially those who did not go along with their movement. Even if you disagreed on a few points you were still a pig. This seems to indicate an idea of female superiority that cannot be wrong or questioned. There are women and groups today that do seem to promote women as superior so it would be fitting to call them Female Chauvinists. I would not add pig to that. My Momma taught me to be kind to women. Besides, such terminology is not required to speak about either side of that philosophical coin.
Both male and female Chauvinism are sins. God did not create the sexes for war. He created them for love and oneness. He created woman to be fit for the man. Meaning she is an inferior person? No. A man’s strengths are to be the woman’s weaknesses and the woman’s strengths the man’s weaknesses so that they are stronger together than they could ever be apart. There is no shame in admitting that you have weaknesses no matter what your gender.
Why is there so much personal pride over something you had no control over? God created the genders and allowed the sperm with the needed gene to impregnate your mother’s egg to make you a male or female. Instead of being proud, just seek to find your purpose as your gender and be the best male or female you can be.
Think of all that has been achieved by men and women during the war between the sexes. How much more might have been achieved if we had laid down that vain Chauvinist pride and worked as God ordained?
Glorify God and not your gender. Find out your strengths and weaknesses and if you are single look for a mate that is fit for you or strengthens your weaknesses and you theirs for a bond that will last through the storms of life that seek to tear you apart.
Put down your signs and banners and cross over the lines of division and grasp hands to build a better society and world following the design and order God ordained. Walk in love, not war. Peace is wonderful and fruitful thus may peace be unto you are you become the best you can be in Him! Shalom! Maranatha!

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
We would not long for the mountain top if we never experienced the valleys. Had we never experienced the the mountain top we would not seek to return, but might remain in the valley forever. Indeed, if we just saw it from the valley we might fear what is there and never climb it While the valley affords the protection of the mountain we are often placed in the valley to escape the dangers of the mountain like arrogance, pride and complacency.
Mountains can be so high that the air is so thin we require that which is outside ourself if we are survive and function at our best. Spiritually, the Holy Spirit is our oxygen tank and mask that will take us to heights we cannot think of obtaining on our own.
Valleys can be so low that the protection of the mountains seems to make the sun disappear for most of the day. This is where we rely on what we know and not on what we feel. We know the sun comes up everyday even when the clouds and mountains obscure it’s brightness and warmth. At times that is all we need is the knowledge of that consistency to make our time in the valley more bearable.
We stay in the valley too long when God would have us climb to the mountaintop to see the grandeur and expanse of His creation. He wants us to see He can handle any valleys between the mountains. Note I said climb. Often we want an elevator or to be beamed up like Kirk and Spock. He does do that, but sometimes there are lessons and jewels of wisdom He wants us to learn and gather that will make the mountaintop even greater.
Sometimes, we are mining instead of climbing because God wants to show us that there are great treasures in the valley that would not see on the climb or at the peak or even just on the surface of our valley. Oft times we must dig to see the lessons God wants us to learn and find the gems. He would have use rejoice with great joy when we find them.
If we refuse to dig we miss those things and may stay in the valley longer than God desired. Yes, we can exercise our free will and not start the climb when He says and miss out on some blessings. He almost allows us to use our free will. Jonah is an example of an exception. We can find what He wants us to be blessed with or we can sit and sulk in the valley refusing to either climb or dig.
Even the oceans have mountains and valleys. Depending on the heights and depths there we see life we would not see if we stayed on the surface. Those who have plunged the depths have found treasures and creatures that the masses will never see. The deeper you go in the ocean the more equipment you need to see what is there as well as survive. Again, the Holt Spirit is your guide, air and light to plumb the depths of God’s wisdom and creation.
Enjoy the mountains and the fresh clean air, but do not be afraid to dig to mine all the valley has to offer. Enjoy the the beam up or elevator, yet do not resist the climb as it may be best for you. Be willing to let God take you to the depths that may scare you. The rewards are worth it. Cast all your fears into God’s hands. Grow closer to Him in faithful dependence for He is the faithful God who can be depended upon.
Dig and dive deep for you do not what God will surprise you with as you let Jesus and the Spirit guide, strengthen, sustain and enlighten you, He is with you in the heights and the depths so He can broaden your horizons and lengthen the joy in your days. Maranatha!
